Sea Gypsies

They are an ethnic group living primarily in the Myeik Archipelago in southern Myanmar. Often called "Sea Gypsies," they spend most of their lives on traditional boats called "Kabangs" and are world-renowned for their incredible free-diving and seafaring skills. While many have begun settling on land in recent years, their unique culture and deep connection to the ocean remain a significant part of Myanmar's coastal heritage.
